For artists & rights holders, Hook is an ecosystem that enables them to control, track & monetize how people engage with their music – even offering tools to generate full-length versions of trending hooks. Ultimately, Hook is empowering a new segment of the social economy – music.

Hook is fully licensed, which means the songs available in the app have been cleared for remix use and off platform sharing. You can remix the tracks in our library, but uploading your own copyrighted music is not supported at this time.

Hook regularly hosts remix challenges with artists, labels, or community themes. Each challenge highlights a specific song or genre and comes with a creative brief to inspire your remix. Top entries can win prizes like cash rewards, reposts from artists, and spots in curated playlists.

Yes—any remix made inside Hook is cleared for sharing. You’re allowed to post your remixes to TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat. and SoundCloud as long as you created them within the Hook app. You cannot export and use Hook-edited audio for commercial use outside those platforms.

Start by selecting a song. Browse trending moments from that song to find your clip. Then, swipe through our genre-based filters to instantly transform the vibe. Want to get creative? Choose a second song and combine them to make a custom mashup

Every week, Hook runs a remix competition. Post your remix to enter automatically. Rankings are based on engagement and creativity and win cash prizes of up to $1000 per week. The Hook Leaderboard is reset every Monday at 12am EST and winning users are notified on Monday at 11am EST.
